Founded by Friedrich Hoppe in Heiligenhaus (near Düsseldorf) in 1952, the family-owned company has become a worldwide operation. With manufacturing plants across Europe and North America, the group employs more than 3000 people, ensuring worldwide distribution for the “Handle of Excellence”.
HOPPE AG is recognised as the market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of handles for doors and windows, available in aluminium, brass, bronze, nylon and stainless steel.
HOPPE aims to achieve the highest possible self-sufficiency and flexibility in production. Having obtained the raw materials, the company manufactures almost everything itself. In addition, HOPPE designs and manufactures special machinery and other equipment used in manufacturing processes developed by the company.
A well as complying with the latest European Standards, HOPPE AG manufactures hardware in an environmentally considerate way. Its commitment to the environment includes recycling waste water and the use of a circulatory system for water during manufacturing process. Scrap metals are recycled and packaging is bio-gradable.
The Handle of Excellence lives up to its name everywhere, whether doors and windows at the top end of the housing market, such as private houses and luxury apartments: in standard housing, such as that provided by local authorities; or indeed on doors and windows in commercial, institutional and public buildings.
